My name is "UGO de la Morne Plaine". |
Actually I'm not
called with my registered name - my call name is "Samson". I was born on February 28th, 1996, in Belgium, in a nice and kind family with 4 pawed and 2 feet members. At the age of 9 weeks I left my littermates and came to Austria, where I since then live in a Briard kennel with 3 other black Briards, a Persian cat, a Timneh grey parrot, a Kongo grey parrot, four chinchillas and lots of fishes. My human wanted to have a grey Briard, and she had good chances, as my dad is blue and my mom grey. But it did not come that way: I am the only one out of that litter keeping my deep black color I had when I was born. Well, that's my genetic fingerprint! J Actually it was and is not a real problem for my human; certainly she'll have another try to get a grey Briard in some time. When I was brought to Austria I was joined by the formerly youngest member of my human's Briard family, "Yazoo"; she was 9 months of age at that time. She was a kind dog to me, from beginning on, and that was the foundation of a wonderful friendship. I was entered to some shows in France, Slovakia, and Austria, and had excellent results. But I don't attend to many shows - I prefer working. Obedience is fun as long as I receive some cakes when I do my job well. Some weeks ago I began with defense training, and I must say I like it. When the weather is suitable I also go tracking, although that's not the kind of work I prefer, but I really try to do my best to make my human happy and pleased. I enjoy life here, because we have some action each day: lots of fun with "Yazoo", working, going for nice and long walks, running besides the bike, ....... , and, since about one week, I play with my offsprings. I can now teach them the things "Yazoo" taught me. She showed me how to act in different situations of life, she was there when I was bored, she was funny when I was sad - she is my very best friend, and that's what I want to be to my puppies, too, together with her. I believe we can make them be excellent charactered Briards, so that they bring pleasure to their future owners. In Oktober 1998 my human spent 8
days in Canada - with a family that has until now three Briards of our kennel. At that
time it was only my daughter "Chloé", whom my human visited. Pictures of this
trip and the impressions can be found through a link below in this site. Meanwhile I am father of 28
children out of 4 breedings: I stop talking about me and my
family now. The most important things are said. Whenever something interesting happens
I'll write it down for you right here. So, please, feel free to have a look at my site
from time to time. |
